Jack S. Song specializes in business operations and brand-building-- scaling companies and go-to-market campaigns for frontier tech startups and organizations.
He has designed and built a global brand and communications function for several VC-backed international startups, taking Lime, Grabango, Visby Medical, and Hashdex to market.
He has also designed and executed integrated marketing campaigns for over 150 feature films.
Jack was previously the political director for the California Democratic Party and was later appointed as press secretary for San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera, where he led the public relations strategy for several high-profile legal cases.
He is a partner and film producer at Flipbird.co, a creative agency and original film production house.
He currently serves as the Vice President of the San Francisco Film Commission, appointed by the Mayor.
Jack holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Working as a communications executive for more than 20 years, Jack S. Song has taken his knack for storytelling through companies in the entertainment and technology industries, as well as the world of politics.
“The story still came from a human element, but they leveraged all the existing AI tools to help enhance that visual experience,” said Song, a startup marketing executive turned film producer, in a phone interview after the event. “That’s what filmmaking and storytelling is about. It’s about providing an audience an experience ... and it’s provoking even more thoughts.”
